-ABOUT US-

HERA - Icelandic born, New Zealand based singer-songwriter Hera, has toured the globe for many years playing and touring in Italy, Holland, Greenland, England, Scotland, Wales, Denmark, the United states at the SXSW music festival, the famous Glastonbury festival in the UK and of course Iceland and New Zealand to name a few. She has a gold record in Iceland, and was named 'best female artist' at the Icelandic music awards in 2003, and her song 'Makebelieve' was a finalist in the USA songwriting competition. Her latest, self titled album ‘Hera’ reached #1 on the Icelandic album charts and the single ‘Process’ went #1 on Iceland’s radio station Rás2.

Her music is noticeably unique and has been influenced strongly by dual emotional investment in both of her cultures. Effortlessly blending foreign sounds and language with our familiar version of folk and acoustic pop, she will take you on a journey of discovery upon which you will hear a refreshing take on what an acoustic singer-songwriter can achieve. This year (2022) Hera has been traveling and performing around New Zealand on the Life Lessons tour with Emma Dilemma and The Moses; as well as supporting Tami Neilson on the Small Hall Sessions tour, performing in Austin Texas as part of SXSW music festival 2022, and touring the Hawke’s bay area again with the amazing Small Hall Sessions. Her latest single ‘Burn to feel’ was released this August.

Ben Campbell's musical career began with his band Zed, which released two multi-platinum albums and toured and recorded around the world supporting artists such as Robbie Williams, Coldplay, Seal and Bon Jovi.

In 2002 Campbell established Elements Music Ltd, an independent music, promotions and management label based out of Christchurch NZ, licensed and distributed by Warner Music Ltd. Through Elements, Ben produced and released new albums including those of his own, new band Atlas, which formed in 2005 after Zed disbanded. Atlas’s #1 hit single ‘Crawl’ is one of the most successful New Zealand rock songs of the 21st century and the highest selling song of 2007. Atlas disbanded in 2008 and since then Campbell has been in development on a number of projects in collaboration with Fledge and Elements Music.

In 2010 he formed the band House of Mountain with other Fledge artists: Moses Robbins, Kurt Preston and Jed Parsons. Though a fine musician in his own right, Campbell is also a born producer and manager, with a gift for bringing the right people together and coaxing out their best performances.

Together, Ben and Hera booked, managed and promoted over 100 shows for the 2011/2012 Live and Loud Heartland Tour, featuring artists such as Wellington’s Supermodel, the Valves, House of Mountain, Hera, and Happiness Stan, venturing all over New Zealand; from Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington to Stewart island. They are both regular performers and long standing music mentors for the NZ Music Commission providing industry experience to music students around the country.

Through Fledge, they have managed and hosted a number of very successful events; from intimate acoustic showcases, private art exhibitions and fund raisers, to jam-packed concerts at the Dux live. In October 2012 ‘’Fledge at LUXCITY’’ contracted to FESTA to combine live music with an other-worldly set design. This included live aerial performances by the Christchurch Circus Trust, hanging performers from a crane 34 metres in the air while the musicians played on the stage under a laser cone of blue light and smoke. A huge success uniting music with acrobatics and art, to a crowd of thousands in the centre of Christchurch city.

Fledge also programmed, administered and event-managed Art Beat, a public Chch arts program initiated by Arts Voice Christchurch Trust in association with RE:start. The program integrated art and entertainment into the city’s rebuild. The pilot series from Nov’12 - Feb’13 included over 400 performers of multiple genres.

Fledge have worked and produced numerous other exciting events including the Songs For Christchurch Charity Album Release, The Sumner Street Festival, The Marlborough Sounds Music Festival, and the Christchurch Art Gallery 10 year anniversary concert.
